Feeling Down?

HI Becky- I remember the first time I read that passage in Romans 11 and realized I felt just like Paul– a kind of WOW- this is so great! God is so great!
I am amazed however at Piper’s “I thinks” in his sermon on Romans 6- and saying that the teaching on baptism was a teaching of C of C– we are not unique in that belief– and in fact most Baptists thought that way until the last 100 years or so…interesting. i guess all of us have trouble getting past the teachings we have felt called to defend.
I wonder if he would do the same with repentance–
Mostly I think he has good thoughts, though. he does say in his notes that maybe they have separated faith and baptism too much. Wonder if he has ever read F lagards book about baptism being the believer’s wedding ceremony. They could have a good discussion.
