Prayer Requests updated 5/20/07
Please pray for the family and friends of a dear grandmother in Christ to me, Marge Armstrong, who passed away on May 13 in my hometown of
Richland,WA. She was such a light in this world and will be missed by many.
Please pray for our family life as we prepare to host the Harding interns from May 30 until July 23. I want to be a blessing to the interns, but want to put my husband and children in first place, only after the Lord. I’ve struggled with doing this in the past, especially when I am hosting visitors. Please pray for me to have discernment and wisdom.
Please pray for the Kabiye churches to be alive and vibrant, and for the good news of Jesus to burn with an unquenchable fire in their hearts.
Please pray, especially, for God to do incredible things in the town of Kara,
Togo where we live for his glory. And to raise up a devoted, faithful, and alive body of believers who can witness in this town.
Please pray for my Grandma who is undergoing surgery for cancer on the 24th of this month, for the Lord to please heal her.
Please begin praying for the Togolese presidential elections that will take place this coming August…That there will be peace and fairness in the election process.

Praises and Thank Yous!!
-
My Grandmother came through her surgery remarkably well! She is home and getting around without any pain medication!
- Our interns and most of their bags arrived uneventfully!
- I am feeling more engaged with my children while hosting visitors than I have in the past!
- Caleb was finally able to receive his 6 month shots!
- The Millers have returned and the transition has been smooth, in most ways as if they’d never left. I’m so thankful for how continually happy I feel that they are back!
Please ask with me for God to:
- Bless the interns with all God wants them to see and experience.
- Make the hearts in our family ready and willing to receive God’s grace so that we can willingly extend it to others.
- Heal Elijah, Caleb, and Gabriel of their colds.
- Make us a blessing to our Kabiye friends and neighbors and fellow Christians.
- Make us a blessing to one another in our family.
- Make us a blessing to our teammates and interns.
- Help me to better understand His wrath so that I may better love the gospel of grace. (I’m listening to John Piper’s sermons on Romans…they are available for free download off of itunes or desiringgod.org)
- Do a powerful work among the Kabiye people, especially to establish a strong, vibrant body of believers here in the central city of Kara.
- Continue to give me wisdom, commitment, and FOCUS to minister to David and my children first before others.
- Continue to give me desire to seek Him first before all other things.

Praise God with me:
- Internship was blessed
- Hannah, Caleb, and I were able to take a quick trip back to the states to be a blessing to family and to be blessed by them
- We see beginnings of answers to our prayers for God to work in the hearts of people here in Kara through the children down our street (the mother is taking better care of them), neighbors we have met through the process, and the Miller’s Bible study they’ve started on Thursday evenings
- God has given everyone our team safe returns from all of the travels this summer
Please ask God with me:
- To continue to use us to draw others to Him here in Kara
- For churches to continue and begin to evangelize within and surrounding their villages in Kabiyeland
- To bless Matt and Bryan’s travels to the states next month and for God’s hand to be on the Together for Togo conference
- To continue to give our family wisdom as we are involved with the children in our neighborhood and as I see what the interest is for ladies in our neighborhood to begin a weekly morning Bible study
- To bless our family and team families with physical health
- To give David and me wisdom as we parent our children
- To bless us with words from the Lord as we teach, both Kabiye Christians and our team children
- For humbled hearts continually bowing before the Lord to receive grace from Him and to have an abundance to extend to others, especially in team relationships as members transition back to the states and as others arrive here.
Hey Becky, just took a minute to read your blog. thanks for your love for and service to God. You remind me to slow down and appreciate where i am, inspite of the world around me. (and I can say that living here?). May you find peace today and a measure of God’s abiding presence. You know, the kind you can really feel!
How are the goats doing? We are expecting a few lambs in a couple of months, March to be exact. Then the fun begins.
I’ll be praying for you. Dana
